Point Lobos State Park

Incredible. Almost enough said. We saw sea otters for the first time, and walked through one of only 2 naturally occurring cypress groves in the world.

The orange stuff was found on the trees and rocks on the north side of the headlands. One might think it's lichen but it is green algae with a lot of carotene (orange pigment) in it. Science teachers - eat your heart out.

Lunch - watching the tide come in from above (and an oyster catcher)

More sea lions - you can hear them barking from quite a distance.
